Step one. Coaches and one player conducts a demonstration. You need two adults - standing apart - distance varies according to age group. Player runs between coach A and coach B. Coach A passes to player, player catches with hands outstretched for an early catch and passes to coach B. Start slow and increase the speed once player gets the rythym/timing. Depending on age group you can say catch on your outside foot and pass on your inside foot. There is a footwork technique for Co-ordination for players who are hard wired.
Step two. If kids catch on to the demonstration, coaches withdraw and observe to offer guidance where appropriate (that’s a book in itself) Best done in groups of three.
Email clarkelt@bigpond.net.au and I can forward you a diagram.
